PRIMARY PURPOSE: Assist the campus/department staff with assigned daily tasks
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education / Certification:
- Valid Texas driver’s license and insurable by school district insurance company under the 10 point system.
- Currently enrolled in high school or upper level education program
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to use good judgement
- Ability to understand and comply with established procedures
- Knowledge of general office equipment
Experience:
- None required
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist campus/department staff with assigned tasks including but not limited to locker clean out, book check in, technology equipment prep, filing, shredding, interacting with students, etc.
- Contribute to a positive school/department climate.
- Organize, clean, disinfect and maintain equipment and supplies.
- Uphold and enforce school rules, administrative regulations, and state and local board policy.
- Stay up-to-date professionally through the selection of quality staff development opportunities for personal growth.
- Research district policy, precedent, and current practices prior to taking action.
- Participate as an effective team member who contributes to district, department, and content goals.
- Demonstrate integrity and ethics.
- Display proficient levels of technology applications.
- Utilize time wisely for effective management of job responsibilities.
- Maintain punctuality in daily work times, appointments, and meetings.
- Meet task completion deadlines established by supervisor.
- Maintain friendly customer-service-driven interactions with all stakeholders, students, teachers, administrators, and co-workers.
- Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that the goals of the school/department are met.
- Maintain a positive and professional tone in all communication (i.e. email, written, and verbal).
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Requires the ability to lift more than 40 lbs.; ability to work in the heat of day.
